CSR Partnership Packages supporting a Belfast International Peace Conference

Peace Partnerships and CSR Opportunities

Last year Belfast fought off stiff global competition to win the bid to host the International Network of Museums for Peace (INMP) 9th International Conference from 10 – 13 April 2017. Bespoke Northern Ireland is very proud to be the Professional Conference Organiser for this prestigious event. We also send a big thank you to Ulster University for offering to host the venue.

The conference theme, ‘Cities as Living Museums for Peace’, will highlight Belfast’s social and political transformation from a divided, troubled city to a one which models peace consciousness through post-conflict healing and reconciliation

INMP is a truly global network, with its international members consisting of a wide range of directors and curators of human rights and peace museums, peace educators, academics, journalists, artists, musicians, architects, policy makers, researchers, scholars, students of history, museum studies, cultural memory studies, international relations, international ethics, and interdisciplinary subjects, as well as those with backgrounds in ‘grass roots’ peace and reconciliation communities, such as our Belfast based participants.

Almost 100 submissions to present have been received from both local and international participants. These contributors will discuss a range of issues such as peace education, post-conflict healing and reconciliation, historical interpretations and more.

The conference programme is varied, with a wide range of presentations from across the globe, but with a strong emphasis on local contributors too.

There is an interesting social programme too, of course, as this is one of Bespoke Northern Ireland’s specialities! We very much look forward to delegates enjoying the ‘wow factor’ of the Welcome Reception in the Great Hall, Stormont, the Conference Dinner in our beautiful City Hall and two field trips incorporating Peace Trails and hearing about  ‘grass roots’ experiences in Belfast, Derry/Londonderry and Corrymeela.

We are particularly looking forward to the vast networking opportunities that our local delegates and speakers will be able to avail, due to the international flavour of our guests to the city. However, to ensure that we optimise this once in a lifetime opportunity for Belfast happen with the support of the local business community in assistance with bursaries and scholarship – and this is where those of you in business come in…

With regards to Northern Ireland’s business community and the increased expectation of a good business to have a Corporate Social Responsibility ethic, then maybe this event would fit this requirement for your company?

We would love to work with you, to help make a difference, through the range of partnership opportunities that we have created.

Maybe it’s time to give something back!
