The sun came out for Saturday’s VIP client experience for 'Routes Europe' Conference delegates, illuminating our stunning Northern Irish Coastline which the clients viewed from above! The Causeway Coastal route is beautiful from both the road and from the sea but is absolutely mind blowing from the air!
A warm welcome manager Neville, at The Giant’s Causeway was followed by a tour from our super guide, Lucy.
Our guests loved the VIP access to Warehouse number 2 at Bushmills Whiskey Distillery before their private tasting in the lovely new tasting room. This was taken by the superbly knowledgeable Marcus who was actually younger than the 21-year-old whiskey that they were tasting! This was followed by a fantastic lunch, bursting with local produce in Bushmills Inn, a 16th Century coaching inn.
Then it was off to the Queen's residence, Hillsborough Castle, in the evening, after a drinks reception in the Merchant Hotel Champagne Lounge. The informal tours of the Royal Art Collection, bubbles and canapés in the Queen’s very own Drawing Room were greatly enjoyed before dinner. This was beautifully prepared by Yellow Door Catering and was served in the opulent Throne Room.
Delegates were superbly entertained by BBC's very own David Meade; mind reader and corporate speaker. It’s safe to say that we had happy clients travelling back to the luxury of the Merchant hotel after a wonderful VIP experience! Or maybe this was down to David’s mind-reading techniques!
